"There is a town in north ontario,
With dream comfort memory to spare,
And in my mind I still need a place to go,
All my changes were there."

"every minute you waste on the internet, is another minute you could have wasted in front of the t.v"

job hunting tomorrow.
is it okay to lie on a cover letter? what if you get the job and then they find out your skills with these programs are less then stellar?

Don't lie. It's better to not get the job than to be fired from it because you lied. Something like that can haunt you forever.

If you say you have the ability to use a specific program, and you can't really use it that well, that's not lieing.

I have the ability to program C++... I mean, I couldn't actually make a real program, but I can do some basic coding... so I can say on a "Ability to code in C++".

So if it does come up that, you don't really know how to do anything in the program, don't worry, just say, well "I can use it, I just don't know how."... because, I can use the oven, I just don't know how either... I didn't say I could use it well.

Depends what you're lying about. If you say you have some experience to get your foot in the door but need a refresher, most places will give you the benefit of the doubt and give some training.

I actually haven't lied once on a resume, but I haven't had that many jobs. I just keep my jobs for a long time. Well, at least I started to keep them for a long time after the initial first jobs that never panned out and managed to always fire me a day before the probation period was up. Except for Mac's, I quit that bastard.

Mcdonald's clerk (2mths)
Medi-Plus clerk (3mths)
Mac's clerk (1mth)
Landmark Gift shop (2yrs)
Jack Peppers' dishwasher (2yrs)
Jack Peppers' waitress (1yr)
YA Customer Care Rep (1.5yrs-)

Panda's been asking about you, wondering where you've been. I told him, you're really far away... but he can't understand distances like that, lets be serious, he's a cat.

But he says, if you can be here, that he wants some letters.
